Multimedia Artifacts
This section showcases instructional materials I’ve created using digital and visual tools to support student learning. These artifacts reflect my ability to integrate technology and creativity into the classroom through interactive and accessible formats. From visual storytelling to game-based review activities, each resource was designed to engage students, reinforce key concepts, and support diverse learning styles. These multimedia tools demonstrate my commitment to dynamic, student-centered instruction.

This artifact is a comic strip I created as part of a mini-unit on Charlotte’s Web for elementary students. The goal of the unit was to help students understand plot progression by focusing on three key chapters. The comic visually breaks down important events, using simplified dialogue and illustrations to support comprehension. It was used alongside reading activities, discussions, and vocabulary exercises, giving students a multimodal way to engage with the text. Creating this resource helped me explore how visual aids can reinforce literary elements like rising action and conflict. It also showed me how to adapt content for younger readers in a way that is both developmentally appropriate and engaging. This experience strengthened my ability to combine creativity with instruction and emphasized the importance of supporting literacy through diverse formats.

This artifact is an interactive Kahoot quiz I created to reinforce students’ understanding of literary conflict. Designed as a multimedia learning tool, the quiz presented students with short scenarios and asked them to identify the type of conflict involved, such as character vs. character, character vs. self, character vs. society, character vs. nature, or character vs. technology. The activity encouraged quick thinking and application of knowledge in a game-based format, promoting engagement and immediate feedback. By transforming a traditional concept review into an interactive experience, I was able to assess student understanding in real time while keeping the class actively involved. This resource reflects my ability to incorporate multimedia tools to support comprehension, differentiate instruction, and make abstract literary concepts more concrete and memorable for students.

This artifact is an interactive Kahoot quiz I created to reinforce students’ understanding of setting in nonfiction texts. Designed as a multimedia learning tool, the quiz presented students with brief examples or descriptions and asked them to identify which part of the setting was being highlighted, such as physical environment, social and cultural context, political climate, economic conditions, technology, or landmarks. The activity supported quick recall and concept application in a game-based format, encouraging active participation and immediate feedback. By turning a traditional review into an engaging digital experience, I was able to assess comprehension in real time while keeping students motivated and focused. This resource demonstrates my ability to use multimedia platforms to enhance instruction, differentiate learning, and make abstract nonfiction elements more accessible and memorable.
